Function
I want my robot sidekick to be a companion, preferably animal-alike. I consider it would also talk with programmed vocabulary, sounds and sentence logic. Apart from speech it will be able to play sounds of many different animals as well as music (or audiobooks). Since it is able to connect to internet it can also teach me languages or other skills.
The main, most important function will be transport - hoovering or flight - as I always loved to be above ground level. The magnetic fields it generates will keep me on it (preventing the fall) as well as can adjust to protect me, for example, making the bullets to bounce off or stop. It's meant to be more protective rather than offensive.
For entertainment I was thinking about giving it the ability to cast the hologram of items - board games, any other things - as well as whole backgrounds for LARPing (role-playing as actors). It may as well process these imagery from sources it absorbs or from my memory/imagination.
Other minor thing is to handle me objects I want like a dog, or wrap around me and generate warmth or cold depending how I feel.
Character
It's character will be friendly, formal in speaking and informative. It's character can be either simple, or a merge human-animal. I want it to be playful, energetic to basically make me motivated and want to do things. Everyday it will propose me activities to do, or lay next to me and rest.
